As a Washingtonian, we love this man so much

    2. Adrian Duran

To be fair to FDR, he lived through Prohibition and the invention of cars, so he might not be a good mixer or driver

    3. Ken Pudsey

      Damn fine wine!

    4. Elizabeth Heyenga

I live in Walla Walla. Come play Pickleball Kyle!

    24. Deborah Freedman

When I was 14, my parents decided to take the family on a bicycling vacation through Ireland. Lunch was usually cheese, crackers, apples and barley water, purchased at a local store. We filled our canteens in streams, but sometimes we had to strain out the peat with our teeth. My father thought the graveyards were a great place to picnic, until one where they did not bury the dead deep enough, and we ate with the smell of decay in our nostrils. I hope they buried them deeper in the graveyard McLauclan picnicked.

    25. Tao Stone

What? I live in Yakima now! Cool

      1. Erik Griswold

        You didn’t know?

Hey, Kyle! We graduated from UW the same year, and a couple months later, I saw you as Romeo at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland (Full confession, I didn't put that all together until "Dune" came out.). Now, where's my wine?

wait... WAIT! Colbert DYES his HAIR?! 😮 full stop! 😜

    49. Angelique Anderson

The shape of their hair and glasses look so much alike. One dark and one light. Does that cast Stephen as the bad guy?

      1. A. N0nee M0usee

I now hear Colbert laughing maniacally like Mr. Burns. 😈

    50. Eric Minch

When interviewing Paul Atreides, it helps to have a gom jabbar at hand.

My high school drinks were pernod (a Hemingway thing) and Silver Clouds with the skinny straws. The Twin Peaks era was G&Ts. By Portlandia I'd settled into wine. Currently in a beer phase, but the next wine bottle I open with be Pursued by Bear, in Kyle's honor. One must support the arts.

    54. CJ

In Yakima then you had two choices- meth or be like Kyle

    55. Gerb McNuggets

Yes Stephen, embrace reality and stop dying your hair.

      1. Melanie S.

The aside joke, in case you didn't know, is that he DOESN'T dye his hair. Catch the look exchanged between Evie and Stephen. He knows people are skeptical, and he finds that amusing.

    56. Nettie Malo

Man! Agent Cooper looks amazing! Idk why he dyed his hair for the most recent season.

    57. CAPJAX

Apparently this guy is the kwisatz haderach, but I don't mind.

      1. Barney's Girl

Check him out in Tales from the Crypt, Season 3 Episode 2-The Carrion Death. Insanely good!

DAM, I'm loving the silver hair on Kyle. He has a great head of hair so why should he look bad getting older, always loved his acting.

    66. Not Applicable

      Nice art behind Kyle

    67. theEarthChildx

I know him as Trey Macdougal and Orson Hodge lol

    68. Tiyath

They are five years apart and it looks like Stephen is talking to his dad, it's un-friggin-canny

      1. Wendy Muller

        Possible filter, definitely botox.

      2. Wendy Muller

Look at skin, not hair. Kyle looks younger - his skin looks firmer and he has fewer lines.

      3. Boppertyhat

I think Kyle looks younger than Stephen. He might be using a filter but his skin looks amazing. I'm glad Stephen is letting his hair go silver.

    69. dafttool

Unconditional love never fails any test. It can struggle, but the bond cannot be broken.

      1. Nedalin Malle

I respect the sentiment, it‘s beautiful. But I always wondered, wouldn’t truly unconditional love be kinda unhealthy? Shouldn’t there be at least some basic conditions like „don‘t become abusive“ and „don‘t become a mass murderer“?

    78. Javad Ahmadov

      Amazing interview with Kale 😂

    79. Eldridge Davis

He'll always been Lloyd Gallagher (The Hidden) to me! Such a cool sci fi film that was for the time. 😎😋😁🙂

An Ametican Actor playing an American Icon --- not someone Foreign struggling with their accent and looking like they are NOT born in the US like Russell Crowe or Benedict Cucumberbin? How novel!

      1. Alexander Campbell

@James Hill Someone being racist to the Cultures who created Systemic Racism for profit? Well, that is Karmic - isn't it? Actually, my point has nothing to do with race; and I am also white and an Immigration Activist. This has to do with getting Privileged White Immigrants a work permit they usually do not have to pay for (paid by Studio or Production Company) and a path to Citizenship in 5 to 6 years (without really understanding what it leans to be American) to take away a role from an American Actor who can do it better. There are exceptions; but often the best Actors don't usually get these parts and it is refreshing to see a Classic American Actor like Kyle MacLaughlin as FDF when in the past 30 years these roles have been increasingly going to British or Australian Actors whether they are good in the role or not. Usually they do the best they can do, but it leaves a flawed taste in one's mouth. Hollywood could do some real good with their cadre of Immigratuon Lawyers --- train Dreamers and Undocumented people in the Film & TB industry and legalizae them. These valuable people often take decades to become legalized and get on a path to Citizenshop. Dreamers are legal (and have to pay greedy Attorneys every 2 years to remain on the program); but Undocumented are not. Also they are trying not to get deported as soft, little Benedict Cucumberbin gets red carpet treatment, respect, fame --- and interviewed by TV personalities like Stephen Colbert. These Privileged Immigrants are not labeled criminals for trying to work hard and feed their families as Undocumented., Migrants and Refugees are. Maybe more People should be raising these inequalities in the broken, biased US Immgration system. Before you call someone Racist --- see their point first. PS: For the British Royal Family to experience racism for hundreds of years instead of constantly being fellated with praise and opportunites --- now that would be just karma. That being said I do have a heart and practice Love andam rational. To hate somebody is not the answer; but to point out what is broken in the US Immigration system and are attotudes towards different categories of Immigrants are Nobody is taking landscaping, factory, nanny, construction, fieldwork, janitorial, day labor, etc, and other blue collar jobs away from Americans. Americans can do those jobs if they want to. However, there is a huge problem with privileged Immigrants (usually White; not always) taking jobs both in front of the camera and behind the camera from Americans. That is the truth.

      2. James Hill

        How racist

      1. Anthony Algorithm

@Paul DownTheHall yes, I just miss the ferry

      2. Paul DownTheHall

There used to be a nice youth hostel in Kyle of Lochalsh, a good place to stay before catching the ferry to Skye. Stayed there in 1970. Now that the ferry’s gone, replaced by a bridge, I wonder if the youth hostel is still there.
